Sensory customization

Two screens behind the Sensory examination.

Sensory

The tests offered on the Sensory screen, in four tabs matching its four areas:

Tab	Holds
Manual Stimulation	Tests performed by hand — pressure, pinwheel, hot, cold, tuning fork — and, in a second list, the Regions they can be applied to
Tendon Reflexes	The reflexes tested with a neurological hammer
Specific Nerves	Named nerves, used when rating impairment by nerve
Sensation Detail	Types of paresthesia, used when rating impairment by dermatome

Each tab is a list with a text box beneath it: type the new test (or region) and click add, then Save. New entries go to the bottom of the list, in the order entered. Select an entry and Make Inactive to retire it; it stays in past examinations but is no longer offered.

Reordering a list

Lists keep entry order and cannot be dragged. To reorder one, write down the order you want, make the existing entries inactive, and re-add them from the bottom of your list upwards.

Verbiage

The templates that build the sensory report and its SOAP note section, by Verbiage Template Type:

SEN_LO	The sentence form of the findings

Select a type to see its first iteration; step through the rest with the arrows. Edit, add, weight, undo or delete as on every verbiage screen.

The Merge Fields list offers [date], [Examination], [location], [provider], [revealed] and the plural marker [s], with further fields — [abnormal], [dermatome / specific], [level1#/nerve], [result], [test], [region] — appearing for the types that use them. Select one and click Insert. The Test Area shows the selected template with sample data merged in.

Whether the note uses the list or the sentence form, and whether the AMA impairment scale is included, is chosen on the Sensory screen's own preferences, not here.
